Functional Aspects:
CD33 is expressed on both the myeloid and monocyte
lineages, although it is absent on granulocytes. CD33
expression has been demonstrated in various leukemias and
myeloproliferative disorders arising from these cells. Clone PWS
was raised against the C2 domain of CD33.
