Biotin covalently attached to agarose beads will bind avidin
or streptavidin essentially irreversibly. Biotinylated Agarose
(B-2011) has a binding capacity exceeding 5 mg avidin or
streptavidin per ml of gel and can be used for the rapid
removal of avidin or streptavidin conjugates from solution.
