Graphic Artist/Web Designer

We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented graphic artist/web designer to join the Vector team. The successful candidate will work with members of senior management to update, expand and maintain website capabilities, develop new media marketing materials, and establish a coordinated corporate presence. The successful candidate will also work to extend Vector’s products into new markets and applications. This person will have the opportunity to directly shape Vector’s corporate image and market impact. The position requires adaptability, creativity, and problem solving ability in pursuit of company goals. This person should be comfortable being the principal contributor with this expertise.

Key Activities Include:

• Producing fresh new designs for our website that support our corporate image and enhance existing campaigns.
• Generating designs for various marketing campaigns including the website, direct email, banner ads, trade show display images, video tutorials, print media and more.
• Participating in creative meetings and contribute ideas to the creative process of product marketing.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery)

Bonus points:

• Experience with video editing
• Experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Performance tuning
• Usability testing
• SEO-experience

A portfolio is required to be considered for the position. Please provide examples of both digital and print layout/design.
